Optical Simulations

Yellow Bird Gallery
Newburgh, NY
September 10 – November 12, 2005
Curated by Jill Conner

Optical Simulations was an exhibition of 69 American Abstract Artists members and non-members. The exhibition examined the abstract process and method of art-making. Optical Simulations explored abstraction used as a vehicle for expression and challenged the viewer with notions of meaning and nothingness.

Yellow Bird Gallery, now closed, was a former furniture factory converted into a three floor, 10,000 square foot exhibition space, with a high-ceilinged main gallery and a glass wall facing the Hudson River.
