Print Portfolios

American Abstract Artists (AAA) has created three print portfolios over the years. Print portfolios are held in major museum collections worldwide, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of American Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Wadsworth Atheneum, Walker Art Center, Whitney Museum of American Art, The British Museum (London), Bibliotheque Nationale (Paris), Biblioteca di Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna (Rome), and dozens more museums and libraries.

 

60th ANNIVERSARY PRINT PORTFOLIO, 1997
This portfolio consists of original lithographs by 40 artists with an introduction by Stephen Westfall.

The prints in this portfolio were produced in editions of 100 with ten more prints designated as A/P reserved for each artist, and five archival impressions. Each print was signed and numbered by the artist.

The paper is white Somerset velvet, 250 grams, and the size of each print is 9 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches. The portfolio is presented in an archival, handmade tray box.

These editions were produced at the Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, New Brunswick, NJ. They were published in 1997 by the American Abstract Artists in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the AAA.

All participating artists were active members of the group at the time.

This edition consists of 44 original lithographs. Each print has been individually signed and numbered by the artist. Prints are dated 1986 and 1987. Print size is 9 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches. The edition was printed in Paris, France by Atelier Franck Bordas, Lithographie, 7 rue Princess, Paris 75006. It is printed in black ink on Arches Vellum, 200 grams.
